Paint Party Friday: Week 16 Check-In

To all our fellow Paint Party Friday players who live in Canada or the United States - Happy Canada Day! Happy Independence Day!!

Welcome to Week 16 of Paint Party Friday! The sun is shining, the weather is warm (in the North anyway) and it is a holiday weekend for many of us. Last week we talked about the Seasons and our painting productivity. For most, the season is irrelevant to you. And for those who find one season more productive, the majority favour summer and winter (evenly). Spring wasn't chosen by anyone as their most productive season.

One thing that many of you mentioned in the comments  was that the summer, while inspiring, was so busy with other activities that it made it a challenge to paint as often as you'd like. We are with you on that. We also find that it is often more challenging to be at the computer when it is so beautiful outside. Do you find that? Summer deserves to be easy breezy - it is far too short here!

We've decided to make the summer weeks of Paint Paint Friday a little lighter, a little silly and a little easier. We will be here every week for you to check-in. The posts may be shorter. The polls may be more frivolous and not the least bit painting oriented. Mr. Linky will always be here. We will try to visit everyone and see your painting efforts but it may be at a little slower pace. An easy breezy summer.  To celebrate the "easy breezy" carefree summer days, Kristin is kicking off CareFREE Fridays! - FREE collage paper downloads every Friday during the summer! (Please be sure to stop by her blog to check it out!)

With that in mind and the holiday weekend at hand, we wonder how you celebrate your nation's birthday?

If you are unfamiliar with Mr. Linky, an explanation of how this tool works can be found on Week 1 and Week 2 check-ins. Please make sure to use your post URL address versus your blog URL address as there are many late visitors who get confused as to which post is for PPF when they arrive (after Friday) at your website.

Hope you have a fabulous time at the party and a great holiday weekend for those of you who live in countries having birthdays!

  2. I too have been super busy and have not made the rounds like I should be :( But I love to participate and this has been my ritual for the last however many weeks. I like the no pressure summer. I will stop by early next week as we are headed out to go camping. And not the finger quote camping that we normally do in a cabin with airconditioning and full fridge. The pitch a tent, no running water type of camping. Who's idea was this....oh it was mine ;)

  5. Happy national days to those of you celebrating! It is taking longer to get round all the participants each week - a sign of the success of PPF that so many want to join, methinks and so what if is it Tuesday before we get round everyone - it just extends the party!!

  6. Nice to be back again! I paint more in the summer - usually - because I am able to sit outside on my balcony and paint. This year it has been mostly bad weather, or so hot the paint water boiled, so I stayed in my arty kitchen.

  9. I'm with you guys on this one. I'm definitely slowing my pace down some to stop an d smell the roses. In all truth I'll probably be posting roughly the same number of times per week but I won't be so angst ridden about it. Lol!

Happy Fourth to those who celebrate!

  22. My father, a military hero, was born on the 4th of July. So for me it is very patriotic and is a mixture of celebration with friends and also some reserved alone time. While I enjoy the BBQs and parties, I always watch the Fireworks with just family.
