Welcome to Week 24 of Paint Party Friday! Summer is almost over (in the northern part of the Northern Hemisphere anyway) and it is so great that everyone is still painting and new players are joining in - fabulous!! A few people asked in the comments last week about getting listed in the "Paint Players" section on the left hand side. If you are not there and would like to be, please feel free to email us at paintpartyfriday (at) gmail (dot) com (you know what we mean... one must be careful about email addresses with those nasty spambots on the web) and we will add you to the list.
Last week we enjoyed learning more about your favorite flowers - some had favourites but most of us love them all particularly wildflowers in the summer. They definitely bring us all lots of joy (and provide wonderful inspiration for some of our paintings too)! We've been having so much fun with our easy breezy summer posts, but as the days are getting shorter we are wondering what is still left undone on your summer fun to-do list?
Please make sure to use your post URL address versus your blog address as there are many late visitors who get confused as to which post is for PPF when they arrive (after Friday) at your website. If you are unfamiliar with Mr. Linky, an explanation of how this tool works can be found on Week 1 and Week 2 check-ins.
Have a fabulous time at the party and we hope you get out there and cross some fun to-dos off your list!
Hi guys,
ReplyDeleteSummer isn't ending, you're just letting Australians borrow it for a while. ;)
Happy PPF!

The funny thing is in our field of work we are always ahead...and my work this week is all about Halloween so I am thinking Autumn thoughts but still enjoying all the fun of summer!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am still hoping to get away for a day or two with hubby. Although in two wks we will be driving our son to London to drop him off for UNI sad and exciting. This signifies the end of Summer for us although we are hoping for an indian Summer so we can get away for a little break before it gets too cold ;0) Dxx
ReplyDeleteI love being part of this party. It really helps me get at least one painting finished a week. :)
ReplyDeleteHard to believe summer is almost over, but I am ready for fall weather. It is my favorite season.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention in my other posts I have wip photos if anyone is interested. xo Theresa
Hi everyone, hope you are still enjoying summer. Have a great PPF, and enjoy your weekend, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWell, I for one am glad to see the darker evenings and looking forward to autumn if only because I know what to expect of the weather (emigrating to a place with actual seasons is top of my wish list!)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I just tried to visit Diane's blog and a warning came up that it has been compromised by joselle2008.blogspot.com which has been known to distribute malware and warning not to continue visiting the site. I'm not sure how to warn Diane about this?
ReplyDeleteI want summer never to end. I don't like cold and rainy fall. :) We do have a picnic in plan.
ReplyDeletethat's what I just did...took leave from work and play....have been out and about and checking out the art shops etc....
ReplyDeleteThe painting I put up this week for PPF I painted outside b/c it was finally a little cooler!! Now if I could just swim in the ocean!!
ReplyDeleteI always make a goal list for my summer and attempt to get to as many things on my list as I can. This year I don't think I got to anything on my list but did a lot of things not on it. It was a summer to remember full of grandchildren and family. I have loved spending Fridays with all of you.
ReplyDeleteBlessing!

ReplyDeleteThe weather here in the UK is slightly chilly now but hoping we will get some more sunshine. Am not ready with any paintings today for PPF, but hopefully over the weekend. Happy PPF everyone. Hugs Annette x

ReplyDeleteWhat a great banner. Love that car. Please excuse my double entry up there. I was in a hurry because I have to leave very soon. I don't know how to take it off, the number 40 that is is. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a tough summer for me. First house guests for 6 weeks, then health issues of a loved one. I am trying to get as much sun as possible because here the winter is long and dark.
ReplyDeleteHappy ppf everyone...in south Florida, we welcome winters...it is our best time of year...sunny and cool...with me, I do not do so well in the Florida heat...so I like the cooler weather...but, I have always dreamed of living up north to see the change of seasons and snow yearly...my husband is from Ohio and he says I am nuts!
ReplyDeleteSummer is here for awhile yet in SoCal, but I'm lookig forward to visits to cooler places! Enjoy these last few weeks before the next season arrives!
ReplyDeleteI'm on vacation in Italy! Lots of painting, sketching and sight seeing, tho I haven't posted my sketches yet, just photos and travelogue ;-) I have had some lovely gelato (ice cream though)

Sorry, I left the wrong link the first time with my Dreaming of Ireland. I re-posted it; if there's a way to put the right link in the first one, let me know. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI can "smell" Fall in the morning! Light fog and then HOT, and then cooling down at night!
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy the change of seasons, especially the colors changing!
Happy PPF to all! I almost didn't make it here this week but what's great about this group is that it motivates me to get painting!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe have yet to get a road trip in, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteThank you Eva and Kristin for adding my name to the Paint Players!
Yey! back after a couple weeks diversion! can't wait to check out everyone's latest!!
ReplyDeleteMmmmkay. So I said I'm ready for fall and that is pretty true but not totally true. I wish I could be at the beach a little longer but hurricane Irena had other plans. I wish I could enjoy more rest and relaxation with my kids nestled around me. SCREEEEECCHHHH. Sorry that last one was pure fantasy. I love them but they need to go back to school. I want my house back. And my mojo. Mama needs her peace and quiet. LOL!
ReplyDeleteTwo weeks from tomorrow my parents arrive for a visit in Germany! And we have so many unfinished projects in our apartment...we're installing laminate as I write this, and then to refresh some paint and fix some rough spots in the kitchen! Don't think I can get it all done, but I'm trying!
ReplyDeleteJust visiting some of my talented IA's sisters submissions here and seeing some totally awesome
ReplyDeleteand stunning work!
Summer is just getting going here! I'm not ready for the rain :)
