We thought it would be fun to do some polls as we go, or at least as often as we can think of ideas for polls! So here is the first one:
Most of you may know how to use Mr. Linky but in case you don't, you type in your name in the first box (that you'd like us to call you) and then the url/link to your post (not your blog url) about your painting efforts in the second box. When you come back next week your name will likely automatically be entered but you need to redo or paste over the url/link with your new post's address.
We hope you will not only comment but carry on conversations in the comments. If you want to address a comment to someone specific, usually the best way is to start the comment with @thenameoftheperson and then carry on with what you want to say. Here is something we'd like to know: How would you like PPF (Paint Party Friday) to help you?
There are few rules. Just please be polite. Spam-like comments will be deleted. Let's see how it goes and have some fun!
I hope I did the linky thing right Eva and Kristin. Thanks for hosting this event, I look forward to having fun. Please let me know if I added my link right. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi Eva and Kristin. Thank you for hosting this blog! I'm looking forward to checking out everyone's posts! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, Eva and Kristin, what an amazing idea- thank you SO much for hosting this! I can't wait to make my way around the links!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
I am happy to participate in this job. Thanks
ReplyDeleteEXCITED... and thanks for hosting!!!
ReplyDeletecheers, dana
This looks like a great place you started here. I just posted my last painting but I see I can´t even type my own name correctly. I am in the middle of Easter Art Markets...will post a new painting project this week. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Ladies!!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the party - we are so happy you all could join us!
I'm looking forward to visiting everyone... I'm sure it will be inspiring & help keep me on track with my own painting goals.
What are some of your goals?
@Cynthia: hee hee - it's still early... who knows, maybe you'll start a trend & people will start using a double letter for their first names! ha!
Good Morning!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, girls! This is wonderful - the site looks great, too! I am excited to visit everyone. Have a great day!
Heather
Yeah for Paint Party Friday!!!! I am so excited to participate, but am off to work. I will check in with everyone this evening. Have a wonderful day!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Eva and Kristin..thanks for hosting this party...I know it will be magical checking out everyone's beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteHey everyone..nice to meet you all!
Victoria~
I had so really hoped to do something specifically for this challenge yesterday, but as I was printing off my stockshot to work from, my 11 month old fell asleep in my arms in front of the computer (unusual since she'd already had her nap). Not long after that she clarified the reason for that by getting sick and that was the end of my painting aspirations for yesterday. She's better now, but it wasn't a fun few hours.
ReplyDeleteSo all I have to show is what I managed earlier in the week :( But there will be more, there must be more.
This is a great idea you two have come up with and I'm looking forward to playing better next week.
Nutty
(today was also mangled, so yeah, nothing done :( )
Wow, already a great turn out and it is only 6 am here. Thank you Kristin and Eva, this is going to be a lot of fun. I didn't get anything new started as I had a ton of projects to catch up on but I am now caught up and can start new things.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I don't have much, but I'm pretty happy I managed to post at all! Thank you for giving me a great reason to PAINT for the first time in weeks! Off to work!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Charlie
Thank You for hosting this party Eva and Kristin!
ReplyDeleteKristin if you don't mind I'd like to know how you were able to draw those pictures onto an image of Toast in the last Creative Tuesdays challenge?

*Paula comes into the room with cyber confetti, snacks and drinks*
ReplyDeleteThank you for a lovely party! :)
The timing is perfect for me as I started local painting classes for the first time in my life, so I´ll be trying many new things. *grin*
Wow!!!! This is so great! Welcome Everyone and Thank You sooooo much for playing along!!! (As you can tell from my exclamation points I am super-duper excited!!!!!)
ReplyDelete@Christine: I printed a toast photo (the link is on my blog) onto cardstock, then I drew on the images using brown colored pencils... easy peasy, no special tricks or anything (I wish I knew more special tricks! ha!) I'm sure there is a way to do it on the computer, but I'm much better and faster with a hands-on approach. Hope that helps :)
Ooooh - Paula! Thanks for bringing the goodies... So very thoughtful!!!
ReplyDelete(Can't wait to see those new things!!!)
So, I have nothing new, but. . . :-) Congrats Kristin and Eva! Looks like fun! And I look forward to seeing everyone's work.
ReplyDeleteWonderful art! Thanks for hosting! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Eva and Kristin for hosting this party and thank you Victoria Pettella ~Kiki for guiding me here. I really wanted to have my painting finished for this Friday but since I don't I still wanted to be part of this artist's retreat so I have posted an old painting I did some years ago.
ReplyDeleteI hope to gather inspiration and knowledge through this community of artists.Once again thank you gals for the hosting; I look forward to visiting everyone and giving my brushes a touch of color for Spring.
Annabelle
I am really going to enjoy this fun event. Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting more and more excited as I'm visiting your blogs... This is so much fun!!!
ReplyDelete*Please feel free to post Works in Progress too!!!*
Definitely post works in progress! (I did.) Paintings can take time and the party is all about progress! And an extra toast/celebration when we finish one! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi all! Can't stay ... gotta get to my 'other' job - haven't given her up yet! Will be back later tonight (wish I could stay), gotta run .... thx Kistin and Eva!
ReplyDeleteHi Partyers! I'm looking forward to visiting all of you! I may not get to you all today as Friday's are my errand days, but will eventually get there. Looking great so far.
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting another weekly art co-op out there. For me, it's helping me to stay focused and creative during a difficult time for me in my personal life (my father). Thank you....I'm excited! :)
ReplyDeleteHi there....my medium of choice is pastels...I have also used watercolors and enjoy those to. I, too, like Sophia have used creativity as a means to help calm me during difficult life periods.
ReplyDeleteJo

Wow. Going through all of your blogs and wonderful paintings I am feeling very inspired... Maybe I'll even try a few new things!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing with us :)
Well, I've spent all day painting hence my lateness in adding my blog link (it's evening here in Ireland!) I'll need to work out what time you post for next week so I can get mine added earlier. I love this idea - I've spent have the evening looking through all the other wonderful blogs linked here!! My husband may send out a search party soon!!
ReplyDeleteKristin and Eva, thanks so much for hosting the party! Such a fun idea. I just started painting with acrylics last month and began with watercolors in November. I want to make sure I keep painting and I think this will help motivate me. Looks like a great place to pick up some inspiration, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm back from work bringing wine and nibblies and looking forward to visiting more of you!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome turnout to this party! You are an incredibly inspiring and talented group! And this is just the beginning. I can only image all the great artwork that may pass through these parties in the future!
Sangria anyone?
oooo I will have to come back and do this next week!
ReplyDeleteFor those of you that may be interested: With your interest in art, I'm wondering if you would consider joining a community art piece (I'm extending the deadline until the end of april). I would be honored to have you. If you have time and interest, please check it out here:
